This blog was originally started to track our progress as we regenerated a derelict Victorian house in Dublin. We turned an old crumbling ruin in to our dream house! If you wish to read through the trials and tribulations of the house build it is best to start at the oldest blog post and read in date order. The blog then evolved in to being all about my life in Dublin, Ireland and then life in Malaga, Spain with artist "PIGSY" and now back in Dublin I hope you enjoy reading it!

Eurovision update
I'm so happy about that. In the semi-final that they were in I thought that both Russia and Moldova had good entries.
We have a Communion Day celebration on Saturday afternoon but come the evening we will be glued to the Eurovision!!!

Dillingers
(what a shock - not!). We went there about 6pm with no reservation and would you believe they were practically full. Luckily they were able to squeeze us in at a tiny overflow counter at the bottom of the restaurant.
Here's something that I only discovered during the week. "Mint" which was one of Dublin's few Michelin starred restaurants was in the spot where Dillingers is now. Ran by Chef Dylan McGrath, Mint was featured on RTE Television in a one off programme. There was a huge outcry about the treatment of the staff in the kitchen by the head chef.
But back to the other night, Amy had the chilli with a vodka and diet coke. Her chilli was good but she said the corn bread was too dry - perhaps it was a batch from the day before.
I had a special of 3 lamb patties on flatbread with a spicy sauce and also a yoghurt dressing. It was delicious along with a glass of merlot. Afterwards, we went to Birchalls for one drink. I should also mention that we saw Boyzone's former manager, Louis Walsh, in the closing down sale of "Laser Discs". We were home and back in the hot tub by 9pm.

Cup of Joe
I hold my hands up to the fact that I am addicted to Starbucks. It's my little treat to myself my quiet time in the middle of my hectic days.
I love Starbucks. I like the way they are consistent in how my drink is made. I like their free WiFi. I like their brownies.
I was so surprised when I found this website. From what I can see it is full of Starbucks baristas venting about their customers (or disgustomers as one forum poster calls them). Lol!
Below is a picture of Starbucks at the Wright Venue. Very funky!
Flamingo crossing!
I was in Ikea today and picked up these tropical Summery glasses - they're flamingos! I like these glasses, they're fun and they remind me of Key West. The drinks practically taste better out of them!
Theses glasses are short (sort of like a little old-fashioned) but they did have taller high balls with pineapples on them. They were nice too!
I want to go back and buy the pineapple ones!!!
Happy Mother's Day!
Happy US Mother's Day!
For info. Mother's Day fell this March in Ireland, this year.
Hope you are doing something special with your mother. Or if you are a mom I hope your day started with breakfast in bed!
When we were kids to treat our mom we would get money from our dad to go the chemist to buy small gifts for her. On Mothers Day she would be presented with things like a Pears Soap or a bottle of Yardley or Coty perfume!
Breakfast in bed would also be served awkwardly to her - which I don't think she enjoyed because she would be thinking of the mess we made downstairs!!
Now for Mothers Day, my mam likes a bouquet of flowers from me (I also surprised her with a Coach bag which she loved) and she likes us to all visit her house for a big family dinner.
How is your Mother's Day?
