Signs of life

I've just started reading "Signs of life" by Natalie Taylor. So far it is surprisingly unputdownable (is this a word?!).

It's not my usual read. It's a true story about a lady who, when 5 months pregnant, experiences the death of her husband. I am currently reading about the funeral and while very sad I am beginning to see the resilience of the writer. I think I am going to enjoy this book!

Biking about

It was so nice today. I got out for two walks and I also cycled down to meet my sister for lunch.

I adore my bike it is an upright Dutch bike. The brand is "Dutchie" and I bought it online from an English company. It is made in Holland.

My cup holder (Bike Bar) was bought in Key West Florida.

The best thing about yesterday was that I finally didn't have to wear my brown Winter jacket and I got to wear Summer clothes!!

Itsa....

Yesterday for breakfast we got bagels from Itsa Bagel in Ranelagh. I got the Mountaineer - tomato, lettuce, chicken & ham with honey mustard mayo. Ciaran had the "All day cure" - egg, bacon, sausage & ketchup.

It was such a nice day we ate by the canal again.

High of 20?!

Today it supposedly will get up to 20 degrees celcius. I'm quite surprised by this. Currently it is about 10.

Ciaran is gone to the gym for about an hour and then we will go get breakfast together.

Hopefully it will be a little warmer then!

On Grafton Street

After our late lunch in Fade Street Social we went to Brown Thomas for a Laduree Macaroon.  It was Ciarans first macaroon.  I had coffee, he had salted caramel.  He wasn't convinced about their deliciousness!!!

Afterwards we stopped on the street and watched Mutefish busking - they really are great!!  I saw them last week and was very impressed. If you like Irish music with a twist you should check them out.

Exotic East

My younger sister moved to Oman in January to work as a Flight Attendant (or Cabin Crew which I believe is the correct title). She has been flying between Oman and places like Pakistan and India. Yesterday, however, she went on her first layover. She is currently in Colombo which is the capital city of Sri Lanka. I can only imagine what it is like!!!

Hopefully she will send me more pics today. She "What's app-ed" me a picture of the rashers she was eating for breakfast - she hasn't eaten pork since she moved to Oman!!!

Serious cuteness alert!

How cute are these three sisters after their grooming session?!

These cuties are owned by my friends in the States. I love getting pictures of the dogs sent to me - perks my day right up!

They are adorable Yorkies - one being teeny tiny, a tea cup Yorky.
