5:2 Diet

I picked up this book in the library today.  Basically the concept of the 5:2 Diet is to eat well for 5 days then fast for 2 days by eating a low cal diet.  I may give it a go - seems doable!

On the 5 days of eating well there is no snacking on sweets, chocolate, crisps and no beer allowed.  I think a glass of wine is allowable though!

Boost me up baby!

When Bones travels in my Smart car he hops on to the dashboard.  Obviously this is extremely dangerous.  When we were over in the States we got this great booster seat for him.  It's so safe.  He gets strapped in and can see out while we drive along - he loves it!

Street Party

On Sunday 23rd of June street parties were held all over Ireland as part of Street Feast 2013 (see www.streetfeast.ie)

Oh my gosh my neighbours put on some really great spreads. Some BBQ'd, some had cakes, some served champagne and one lady made gorgeous afternoon tea sandwiches with the crusts cut off. How posh!

It was such a fun afternoon and the rain held off until 6.30pm when we got washed out of it and ran for cover!

Back to work

Well my holiday is well and truly over, I'm back in work thus morning.

I think if I get stressed I need to bring my mind back to yoga on the beach last Friday at 8am and how content I felt or I could think of how we sat in the Key West Airport Beach Bar on Saturday, waiting for the plane with a drink in hand & feet in the sand, already missing Key West.

Utility Room

Here's a before and after of our utility press after we got shelving and organized it.

I got this Eco friendly in the Hopsack Health Store in Rathmines.  We were in buying Coconut Water to hydrate after our flights.

Have a google of eco soap nuts - it's very interesting!

Key West Lighthouse

On our last day in Key West we visited the Lighthouse.  It's 88 steps to the top and what a view when you get there!!

So peaceful and quiet at the top and great seeing all the local landmarks from this vantage point.

World of Beers

World of Beers in Key West has over 500 types of beer with over 50 available on draught.

I don't drink beer but I sampled a sweet raspberry sample - I think I had tasted this one before in Belgium.  I then had a small glass of cider.

Ciaran had a glass of beer from Wisconsin - chosen by the bar tender after he asked for something light and summery.
