I love putting up the tree and looking at all the deorations that I have amassed over the years.

This blog was originally started to track our progress as we regenerated a derelict Victorian house in Dublin. We turned an old crumbling ruin in to our dream house! If you wish to read through the trials and tribulations of the house build it is best to start at the oldest blog post and read in date order. The blog then evolved in to being all about my life in Dublin, Ireland and then life in Malaga, Spain with artist "PIGSY" and now back in Dublin I hope you enjoy reading it!

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to move somewhere that I can have a proper tree in again. I decided years ago that given how expensive nice tree ornaments are, I would buy one every year so like you I've built up a nice collection now. I have one or two sets of cheapie decorations from the beginning of my time living in my own place that fill space and otherwise, over the years, have built up a collection that I love. My birthday is at the beginning of December and I always take it off work and often go away so it's lovely to unpack all the stuff and remember getting this one in Paris airport that year, or that one in Birmingham when we went over there for the Good Food Show. One of my sisters chooses a theme/colour scheme every year and raids the pound shops for decorations that all coordinate but I prefer my eclectic collection of memories. Even if these days I have to hang them on doorknobs and cupboard handles 'cos the little 3' tree can't take them all.
