I attempted to make American pancakes with buttermilk. I don't know where I went wrong. They were very edible but they were not very fat and fluffy 😡
I ate two with bacon & maple syrup and then had one the traditional Irish way with sugar and lemon juice.
Maybe pour them thicker??
ReplyDeleteThey look good! My only thought as to why they didn't turn out fluffier is possible you over-mixed the batter? From what I've read it should be mixed very gently and still have lumps in it to get fluffy pancakes. I think the Irish way to eat pancakes sounds really delicious. I've never tried that before!
ReplyDeleteI'll try that next time, thanks for the advice!!
DeleteLemon and sugar on pancakes is delicious!
The rashers make my stomach growl !!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's because you're old ;-)
DeleteLumpy batter makes the best pancakes! Also don't flip them in the pan until the little bubbles pop on the surface. Try again...they are so yummy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sowing Stitches!
