Let's conversate!!

The conversation pit in the front room is nearly built!

There are drawers under the bench for storage which is so convenient as there is not so much storage space in the house as a whole.  We also don't like "stuff" lying around, we prefer to have it put away in its home and only taken out when it is in use.

Can you imagine yourself sitting here chatting to people at the house warming party?!

  1. Sorry it took so long for me to see your comment on my blog. Things in my household have been rather nutty the past couple of months.

This looks like a big project. I wish you the best in redoing this house and making it into a lovely home!

  2. Hi Enid. I've just gone through your entire blog and am stunned by the transformation of your house. It's beautiful, absolutely beautiful. You and Ciaran have done a wonderful thing by taking a house that had fallen into disrepair and turning it into a home that is going to be loved and lived in.

When Ian and I began our building project, we didn't really know what, 1) we were getting into, and, 2) what the hell we were doing. As a result, our house now isn't quite what we wanted it to be. We made a lot of rookie mistakes, especially in the kitchen, where we spend most of our time. :-( I think a lot of people don't realize the huge amount of work and expertise needed to achieve what you two have achieved, but I sure do! Congratulations on your amazing new home. I can't wait for the moving in pictures.
