Bank Holidays are always on Mondays here, I don't know whether that is the same in most countries.
We had breakfast in The Farm on Upper Leeson Street. The food was great but it was way too cold (10 degrees celcius) to be sitting outside.
It did warm up during the day and as the sun went down at 7pm we sat in the front garden enjoying the setting sun.
Yes, our holidays are often scheduled on Monday - IF they are not celebrated on Monday - they are attached to the weekend - so one way or another - maximum people can enjoy more time off.
